Buuuuu the changed the way Li Yao died, what is the studio doing? Sheesh Trying to keep Luo Feng's hands clean of blood?

I wondering tho why all the hostile looks towards Luo Feng tho. Are all of them with the Old dude.

There are a number of reasons, and I am going by the novel and not the donghua

1. Li Yao was killed by Luo Feng, his sudden strength and rise in the ranks of War Gods, caused many to be jealous and fear, especially those that were on Li Yao's side
2. The most important, the Soaring Shuttle. the use of the weapon amazed everyone and many of the War Gods were thinking of killing Luo Feng in order to steal it. This is why Hong reminded everyone of Yahan incident, where Hong actually killed a War God for past transgression (implied to be what the war gods were thinking about - killing another war god or gods and stealing their items or something that was reaaaaaaally bad that Hong had to step in) Leishen also commented the same thing that he also killed a war god for having done what they were thinking of

The donghua, probably animated the tension as a result of being on Li Yao's side I guess, but I felt the novel was better in the lead up to this particular scene

Does Luo Feng increase his other mental abilities besides increasing the number of weapons he can control? I remember there was something in a previous episode that gave him the opportunity to learn how to master that too. With the attack he just received, I was thinking it would be a good time to do so as it will help with increasing his overall defence.

For now it will be controlling the number of weapons and increasing the amount and the strength (impact) of them

Much, much, muuuuuuuuch later he develops his mental ability to be able to protect his soul

Of course let's not forget his surpassing advanced war god unique ability the diamond body that is even better than a black god set as he increases his strength

...ok but does Luo Feng get kind of a "Mind Spell Immunity" passive at some point? 'Coz some little shyte tried to scan his brain or something when he came back and was stared at by all the envious pricks... Will he be able to guard against that or something?

Currently he is the most powerful spirit reader on Earth, according to the novel. This was stated in the chapter before he killed Li Yao and the whole envious mobs that was planning to steal the Soaring Shuttle, so there's no one on Earth is able to scan his brain or affect him mentally

Even when encountering stronger alien foes he is able to counter them mentally and eventually obtains an artifact that is able to protect his soul, and uses that to prevent scanning and mind control

I think they did good I got the feeling that all the looks and mean mugs was more because of the weapon then anything else

I think in the donghua it was because of they all wanted his weapon due to how powerful it is that can withstand THAT attack when no one else would have survived that nuke... that is how I understood.

A lot of grunting though - must have been hilarious recording that in the studio.

And I was starting to think that black gold armor is indestructible... Then again... Why the protracted battle and luo feng act as a punching bag, should have been a one shot kill.

Li Yao wasnt wearing the Black God set in the novel, he was required to take it off when he was sentenced to death, so it is something that the studio did, I cant recall where one was destroyed, perhaps during the fight with the Golden Horn Beast

Again the studio prolonged the fight for some reason when the novel was rather short and sweet

Now it all makes sense. I was wondering why they were still wearing Black God Armor or even armor at all when they are detained, so it was a plot change (hole) from the studios side.

I see, but no loot. If I was luo Feng I'd be scavenging the area for that armor.

I dont know, I dont read manhuas, Chinese manhuas are not the same as Japanese mangas or Korean manhwas (there are exceptions, such as Hong Kong manhuas), they are aimed at kids and usually remove mature and violent contents so that kids can read them without parents lodging complaints with the Chinese censorship authority

You can read the novel at webnovel or novelfull, I cant give you the link since it is very long, so you will have to google them

The donghua is at around chapter 30 of the novel

Most donghuas are based on novels that are very very long.

Soul Land is based on a novel that is 344 chapters but the chapters are very long, it is nearing the end in March 2023, and that has taken 4 years or so

Swallowed Star is 1486 chapters, so you can probably guess since this is the second season it will take many years to complete, if they do 52 episodes per season
Battle through the Heavens animates about one volume per season, we are at the 5th volume, there are 16 volumes + epilogues, so another 11-13 years to complete, if they go at the current pace at one volume per season

It's not unlike Japanese animes like Bleach and Naruto that runs for years and years

Now I see y'all saying how they switched Li Yao death a bit, but finally Luo Feng killed that tyrant. However that welcoming return was not the reaction I was think'n wow so many hostile looks and expressions towards this man, like this man next on the chop'n block. Li Yao was a tyrant and they look'n at Luo Feng like he just done F'd up big time. All them with old dude that Li Yao was alliance with, why they mean mugg'n this man heavy. However tho that underwater scene was crazy good that kaiju looked like something straight out of " Pacific Rim" XD.

RIP. Dude was actually a well developed bad guy and can't be fully blamed for wanting to avenge his kid.

The weapon/artifact is actually very powerful, as seen in the donghua where it can even protect the user from an explosion caused by the self-destruction of a surpassing advanced war god existence, in the novel it was because it was able to kill Li Yao easily.

The weapon/artifact was obtained from Hong through exchanging points, and it was discovered in one of the ancient archaeological sites if I remember correctly it was originally from Yun Mo Planet Not only is it hard to obtain through the Hong's "point system shop" (he needs something that he values in order to earn points) it is also one of a kind

I got confused with this weapon/artifact (they like to call them treasures) with another weapon that is similar in use (I once wrote he uses this for the rest of his life, I thought this one was part of the one that was used much much later on lol which was incorrect He stops using this one as he finds better weapons/artifacts, but seem to favour ones that has similar functions as the Soaring Shuttle

lol I can understand but he creates a clone of his older self, as a human, and uses that as his main body, he is allowed to clone or control four bodies, each with a wisp of his soul and mind, but for this season we will only see him as a human and the Golden Horned beast

I imagined the turtle being somewhat even bigger reading the turtle. If I understand correctly, this turtle is an emperor? It is equivalent to that multi headed dragon that Luo Feng defeated in the past and it scared the crap out of him when he thought it.

Notice Hong says theres actually two or at least two GRAND EMPEROR levels monsters as well. Basically implying only him and the white thunder monk guy can defeat those 2 monsters. In the novel it says Luo Feng was surprised to hear that as he was not aware....well the public is not told about it because they would panic. But everyone who is an existence above war god level knows about the two grand emperor monsters in the sea.

Luo Feng, just joined this crowd so he hadn't found out yet.

The novel also mentioned that the monster got its blood ancestral memories activated when it ate the shell of its egg. That meteorite egg was made of something far more powerful and nutritious than any monsters on earth basically :) Novel also said the monster ate the whole shell in like 10 seconds and somehow doubled in size after it finished. In the anime we just see it evolve and develop features like a horn and wings.

And yes, just like you saw. It somehow has the ability to eat all those HUUUGE monsters without crapping in the sea or getting fat or taller :) You just know its ancestors were a much much higher level than anything on earth. But this being just a baby, its unlikely it will destroy the earth. Else the anime would end lol. I havent read that far into the novel so this is not a spoiler just an assumption. Good episode

Oh also, about Yao Luo that annoying guy. In the novel theres was no huge sun I believe, just golden light surrounding him. There was no camera feed to Hong and the others as there was no jet near the fight either. Luo Feng was there at the execution with the 2 inspectors. The 2 inspectors got injured and Luo Feng chased by himself, no flying jet.

So the dude awakened LIGHT ability which is fast as speed of light or something. But in the novel Luo Feng one shotted the guy and Luo Fengs attack was even faster than Yao Luo dude. He couldnt even see Luo Fengs attack which left a big whole in his chest and he died pretty much instantly.

The studio set some new paths. But one thing is clear, the true ferocious beast from the egg that has fallen deep in the sea has hatch. Now earthlings will face the first true terrifying threat from the stars. For those who have read the novel or glimpse from the Spoilers by our esteemed Dase will know all Wargods have to unite and get stronger especially Luo Feng.

they dragged this arc a couple episodes too long for such a weak death, they should have dismembered that silhouette shot to show the power of the shuttle.

Well that was anticlimatic after being dragged out for so many episodes.

There is a wide range of people who watch it, just not on this website alone. The other thing is that there is a limitation in Chinese anime/donghua's and that is the story setting. The majority of them always involve martial arts and not everyone likes watching it for that alone.

Over the past 3-4 years i have switched over to manhua/manwha and likewise in anime, but then again i like the cultivation stories. Sadly there is only a handful of chinese animation/anime that has good quality like this series, Kingdom, Doupo Cangqiong, Wanmei Shijie, seal of throne, Douluo Dalu being my main ones to watch at this time.

For animation series i basically find them on the orginal site (the name on top left on screen on this series) since they seem to pick up most of the good ones. I watch them there to support them, and everything else here to keep track with bookmark

My first introduction was back in 2017 with the release of Quanzhi Gaoshou which made me look more closely at Chinese anime/donghua's. If you havent seen it yet, I recommend you take a look at it and you may find you enjoy it just as much as I did when I first watched it.
